Warrick County is located in the heart of Southern Indiana's River Country. With the mighty Ohio serving as the county's southern boundary, Warrick residents are proud of their river heritage.

Visitors can take in the county's spectacular views while driving along SR 662, Warrick's leg of the 302 Ohio River Scenic Byway. The Byway showcases Historic Newburgh, a charming river town located within minutes of nearby Evansville. Newburgh, which was the only town north of the Mason-Dixon line to be captured by the Confederate Army during the Civil War, is now home to many specialty stores and unique restaurants located along the banks of the river. Newburgh also hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the extremely popular Fiddler Fest & Artisans Street Fair.

Those who continue east on the Byway can visit the Newburgh Locks & Dam, best viewed at the Overlook Park. The Newburgh Locks & Dam, completed by the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1975, serves a key role in regulating the river's heavy traffic.
