Driving north on SR 61 from Boonville, motorists glancing out their windows are greeted by a scene straight out of late 19th century, small-town America. The simple beauty of a country church and former one-room schoolhouse offers passerby a welcoming retreat from the busy world.
Each year, Thresherman's Park brings history to life with its ever popular Pioneer Days. Schoolchildren from throughout the county get a glimpse of life in the 1800s courtesy of volunteer actors and artisans resplendent in the period's attire.
Thresherman's Park is perhaps best known for hosting the Antique Steam and Gas Engine Club's shows every summer and fall. The shows take visitors to another place and time with antique tractor pulls, wheat thresher demonstrations and sawmills powered solely by steam engines. Between activities, guests can wander around the adjoining flea market which draws around 150 to 200 dealers to the park.
