Taking pride in learning

Abe Lincoln inspired generations of other local students to excel, and our school systems meet
our communities’ high expectations. Our scores
on Indiana’s ISTEP+ assessment met or surpassed state averages at every grade level since 2006, earning Exemplary School recognition three years in a row. Since 2006, we’ve produced 13 National Merit Scholars, nine Lilly Scholars, two Presidential Scholar finalists, and three Academic Team state finalists.
Warrick County students excel
Local students excel outside the classroom, too,
with a long tradition of statewide leadership in the
arts and athletics. They have earned state
championships in football, soccer, basketball, tennis,
archery, wrestling, golf, softball, and swimming –
and one of our high school marching bands has
competed in numerous state and national events.
Several young people gained the skills they needed
to compete at Olympic and professional levels.
