Scales Lake Park has been a perennial favorite of Warrick County residents for many years. The 470 acre county-owned park features a 66 acre lake, as well as 46 campsites. Cabin rentals are also available.
Memorial Day Weekend is the advent of the swimming season. Guests can relax along the beach or add some adventure to their day by zipping down the huge waterslide. After hitting the waves, stop and visit the animals at the park's very own petting zoo.
As part of its community outreach efforts, the park will begin offering a Summer Day Camp for children ages
6-15 during the 2006 summer season. Be sure to check out the website for more details.
The park is also home to the TD Scales Pavilion, a
popular gathering place for community and social events. An application form and rates for the Pavilion are listed online.
