Elberfeld Restaurants
Freudenberg's Mini Mart and Kiki's Deli
10922 IN-57 / Elberfeld, IN 47613 / 812-983-3200
Home-style dinners, sandwiches, breakfast and much more!
The food portion of the business is called KiKi’s Sandwich Emporium, Kiki being the name Lana earned from a grandson who refused to call her Grammy.
When you enter the building, you’ll see a normal-looking hot case full of fried munchies and foil wrapped sandwiches. Look a little closer, and you’ll notice the hamburgers and cheeseburgers are made fresh in the store with hand-pattied meat. There are jalapeño poppers, tater wedges, chicken tenders, house-fried bologna and pulled pork sandwiches.
Next to it, cut homemade desserts are ready to go in clamshell packages. You might find carrot cake or chocolate cake. The dense-yet-moist banana nut bread is Lana’s Grandma Breckwinkle’s old recipe, and the bread pudding came from her mother-in-law.
